Remember O Thou Man

Review by Carol Swanson, www.christmasreviews.com:
Chosen as a 2009 Top Pick! “Graf possesses one of finest instruments I have heard – she is that good….’Wexford Carol’ is mesmerizing, ‘O Magnum Mysterium’ is exquisite, and ‘Noel Nouvelet’ is equally outstanding. And Graf’s a cappella delivery of the first verse of ‘Es ist ein Ros’ entsprungen’ is downright remarkable….Her delivery is oh-so-exquisite, converting even a jaded old soul like mine.”
classical & jazz
Tidings of Christmas

A little bit jazz, a little bit classical. Sweet lyrical vocals mixed with beautiful piano arrangements. Traditional Christmas carols and secular favorites, performed by Olde Towne Carolers’ founder Jennifer Graf with accompaniment by Terry Musselman.
I’ll Be Home for Christmas
In the Bleak Midwinter
What Child Is This?

Review by Carol Swanson, www.christmasreviews.com:
“Jennifer Graf’s Tidings of Christmas showcases her classically-trained soprano on 16 traditional carols. A professional vocalist who favors both opera and holiday caroling, Graf is a woman after my own heart. She possesses a soprano with fragile clarity, but enough muscle to convey confidence and emotional commitment throughout….The album opens well with an a cappella bar of ‘In the Bleak Midwinter,’ one of my favorite Christmas songs; as the piece continues, Graf’s vocal and Terry Musselman’s piano nicely build both in volume and intensity….The best track is the all-too-brief ‘Es ist ein Ros’ entsprungen,’ which presents a cappella harmonies….The album mixes the mood with jazzy interpretations of ‘Christmas Time Is Here’ and ‘God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen.’ Tidings of Christmas is a solid holiday offering.
